North County Women in Business will host a presentation about the Caring Kitchen Project (Healing Meals for Cancer Patients). April Cunningham (NCO staff member for the past 25 years), and Tarney Sheldon (NCO staff member for the past 7 years) will present. Together they have been developing and implementing a variety of grant-funded food, nutrition, and health projects for Mendocino County community members ranging from cooking classes for after-school programs, to developing garden and nutrition curriculum for Head Start and State Preschool classes, to food preservation classes for adults, to Harvest of the Month taste-testing at community grocery stores, to training local teen interns as peer health educators… and now they’re bringing another new project to Mendocino County, the Caring Kitchen Project.
